DM #31 - De Colores
2009/05/25
Info (Show/Hide)
After a long hiatus, the Divine Mercy Podcast returns. Listen to my reflections on the Gospel of Mark which I wrote 8 months ago and my recent Cursillo weekend and why they would have anything to do with each other.
I also start the show with a brief (that's subjective) summary of all the things that have happened in my life since the last podcast.

Divine Mercy Novena Day 9
2009/04/07
Info (Show/Hide)
Jesus asked that the Feast of the Divine Mercy be preceded by a Novena
to the Divine Mercy which would begin on Good Friday. He gave St.
Faustina an intention to pray for on each day of the Novena, saving for
the last day the most difficult intention of all, the lukewarm and
indifferent of whom He said:
"These souls cause Me more
suffering than any others; it was from such souls that My soul felt the
most revulsion in the Garden of Olives. It was on their account that I
said: 'My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass Me by.' The last
hope of salvation for them is to flee to My Mercy."

Info (Show/Hide)
Please join me during Lent in praying at least one decade of the rosary every day while meditating on the sorrowful mysteries. To help keep focused, you can listen to meditations from the Dolorous Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ by Saint Anne Catherine Emmerich.
St. Faustina was told by our Lord that “He who wants to learn true humility should reflect upon the Passion of Jesus.” (267) Let us make this Lent a time of true preparation to receive the grace Jesus wishes to give us through his suffering, death and resurrection.
Go to the Divine Mercy Podcast website and download all five decades of the rosary with meditations on the Sorrowful Passion. These Vatican approved meditation take you to the very events of the Passion of Jesus.
Download each decade of the Sorrowful Mysteries by themselves and join me praying one decade each day during Lent. The complete uninterrupted rosary will be uploaded before Holy Week. Consider praying the entire Dolorous Passion Rosary each day of Holy Week.
I pray these recordings will assist you in meditating on the Sorrowful Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray your Lenten preparation for the death and resurrection of our Lord is fruitful and brings you closer in Love to the one who is Love.

2007/04/02
Info (Show/Hide)
The Divine Mercy podcast presents a series of podcasts devoted to the physiology of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The series will discuss what was physically taking place in the human body of our Lord during the Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, the trials of Jesus, the scourging and the crucifixion.
In addition, I will be reading excerpts from the visions of St. Anne Catherine Emmerich of the Sorrowful Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. These visions provide us with a detailed description of the horrific Passion and will, hopefully, shed further light on the humanity and divinity of our Lord.

DM #9 - We are the authors of Christ's Passion
2006/07/17
Info (Show/Hide)
Each of us must realize that we continue to be the author's of Christ's Passion and Death. Jesus Christ died outside of time for all men - past, present and future - to have the choice to be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. In order to do this, Jesus Christ had to take upon Himself the death sentence each of us incurs by each and every sin we committ.
The sin we commit today is responsible for the agony Christ endured on the Cross.

I was notified today that the music portion of the show had a glaring flaw, like total silence. I had made a slight technical error when I published the podcast but that has been fixed and this should sound much better.
Meditation before the Blessed Sacrament can be a wonderful experience. In this episode I will read to a meditation found online at the Eternal Father Eucharistic Adoration Chapel website. Please take the time to visit that site and to download a copy of the meditation for yourself.

I NEED YOU! - to vote for Divine Mercy
2006/06/01
Info (Show/Hide)
It is a new month and all of the vote counters have been reset for Podcast Alley. Please take a second to enter your email address into the box on the left and click to vote for the Divine Mercy Podcast. When you are done, please head on over to Podcastalley.com and, under the "Religion/Inspiration" genre that can be selected on the left hand side of the page, enter a vote for the other Catholic podcasts out there. This is important to give greater exposure to the many and various podcasts that are dedicated to spreading the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. The more Catholic podcasts that are higher in the rankings, the more exposure for us all and, remember, a rising tide floats all boats.
There should be a new episode of the Divine Mercy Podcast coming soon so please check back often. You can also subscribe via iTunes and the newest episode will always be automatically downloaded to your computer when it comes out.
Until next time,
God Bless and at every moment, do what Love requires.

DM #3 - Blessed are the Merciful
2006/04/27
Devotion to Divine Mercy calls us to "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful."
If you downloaded the first version of show #3 you probably immediately noticed the voice track was off. Sorry. I made one silly change right before I published and it moved the voice track over about 10 seconds. Who knew 10 seconds could be such a big deal? This should sound better.
