Frank J. Aloia, Jr., is a senior partner at Aloia Roland, which he co-founded in 2004. The son of a successful Fort Myers attorney, Aloia, chose to make his own way in the legal profession, first as an assistant state attorney, and then later as a business and corporate attorney who quickly gained a reputation as a fierce litigator. Sebree previously served as chief executive officer of Missouri REALTORS® for more than seven years. Prior to his move to Missouri, Sebree served as Senior Vice President of Public Policy for Florida REALTORS® for 11 years. Prior to that, he worked in the Government Affairs division of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) in Washington, DC for 13 years. Sebree was a Senior Legislative Representative working with the congressional delegations of eight states. Prior to NAR, Sebree worked for two years for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Banking, Finance and Urban Affairs.

A native of Kentucky, Sebree received a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Northern Kentucky University, where he was Student Body President. He earned an MBA from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Gloria Jetter Crockett has more than 25 years of management and leadership experience at both a local and national level within the nonprofit arena. Currently, she is the President and CEO of Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire, an organization that grants wishes to children battling critical illnesses.

She has gained extensive experience in working with community and corporate leaders, volunteers, major gift donors and leading high-performance teams of staff and volunteers. Previously, she was the chief development officer for Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and formerly served as the interim executive director for development and the senior director of development for the cancer programs for the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. In this role, Crockett lead a team of seven and was responsible for $10 million in fundraising annually.

Prior to the University of California, Irvine, Crockett spent 17 years in advanced roles with the American Cancer Society culminating in the state senior vice president for Maryland, managing a team of 45 and raising over $7 million dollars annually. In this role, she led the Society’s community and volunteerism efforts and guided staff and volunteers daily in support of the Society’s goals and mission. Crockett was successful in providing strategic leadership and direction, which advanced a diverse portfolio of bottom line objectives. Crockett holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and currently resides in Orange County with her family.

Bruce Norris is an active investor, hard money lender, and real estate educator with over 35 years experience. Bruce has been involved in more than 2,000 real estate transactions as a buyer, seller, builder, and money partner.

Renowned for his ability to forecast long-term real estate market trends and timing, the release of The California Comeback report in 1997 gained him much notoriety. The accuracy of the extensive report led many California investors to financial freedom. His January 2006 release, The California Crash, was an in-depth look into the California market correction and the statistics behind Bruce’s predictions.

Bruce is also the host of the award-winning series, I Survived Real Estate. Aaron Norris 3/31/1977-7/1/2022

Today’s show is a celebration and tribute to Aaron and how he lived his life. He was generous and always looking to help real estate investors. The Norris Group Real Estate Radio Show and Podcast is one of Aaron’s legacies to the real estate investment world and in large part created to help others.

On July 1, 2022, Aaron Michael Norris passed away from Stage 4 Intimal Sarcoma, a very rare form of cancer. After being diagnosed, he did exactly what Aaron did: he learned absolutely everything about it to give himself, his family, and his friends the best opportunity to spend as much time together as possible.

While fighting cancer, Aaron continued to live his life, going on trips with friends, supporting colleagues in the real estate world, and simply being the best person you could want to have around in any situation. He even created the Aaron Norris Creative Fund that lives on after him to help support Arts Programs in the Inland Empire.

He loved his life, he loved to give back, and he will continue to be loved and never forgotten.

Dyches Boddiford (pronounced Dykes) grew up on a farm in rural South Georgia, 10 miles from the small town of Sylvania.

Dyches attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with a BS degree in Physics in 1971, a MS in Information & Computer Science in 1972 and post-graduate work in 1973.

In 1980 he began to learn about real estate and buy property on a part-time basis. His first property was his own home, but soon was picking up rental properties as well.

Then around 1984, because of his travel schedule, Dyches began studying and purchasing discount mortgages. He saw this as a way to invest in real estate without the need to deal with the property itself. But even then, he continued to add properties to his portfolio for the tax advantages and appreciation.

In 1986 he formed The Oaks Group, Inc. to handle real estate related activities. The first purchase was an apartment complex.

After making a couple of job moves, the original company with which he had worked contacted Dyches and convinced him to return to them. Over the next few years he moved up to Vice-President of the holding company.

During 1991 Dyches was President of the Georgia Real Estate Investors Association (GaREIA). He was instrumental in securing the first permanent office space GaREIA enjoyed.

During the late 1980s, Dyches and another investor had researched the use of land trusts in Georgia. By 1992, they decided that because they were getting so many calls asking about trusts, they would teach a weekend class for GaREIA. Dyches also added a Corporation segment to the session to show how other entities could be used with the trusts.

Over the next couple of years, Dyches was approached by a national seminar promoter to teach Corporations for him. Thus the Corporate Fortress was born and has subsequently been licensed by an attorney to use with a presentation he makes nationally.

Dyches also developed his Mobile Home Money Machine course to teach others how to make money as he did in manufactured homes. When he began to develop subdivisions for mobile homes, he joined Newton Boykin in writing the book Deals in Dirt.

Gloria Jetter Crockett has more than 25 years of management and leadership experience at both a local and national level within the nonprofit arena. Currently, she is the President and CEO of Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire, an organization that grants wishes to children battling critical illnesses.

She has gained extensive experience in working with community and corporate leaders, volunteers, major gift donors and leading high-performance teams of staff and volunteers. Previously, she was the chief development officer for Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and formerly served as the interim executive director for development and the senior director of development for the cancer programs for the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. In this role, Crockett lead a team of seven and was responsible for $10 million in fundraising annually.

Prior to the University of California, Irvine, Crockett spent 17 years in advanced roles with the American Cancer Society culminating in the state senior vice president for Maryland, managing a team of 45 and raising over $7 million dollars annually. In this role, she led the Society’s community and volunteerism efforts and guided staff and volunteers daily in support of the Society’s goals and mission. Crockett was successful in providing strategic leadership and direction, which advanced a diverse portfolio of bottom line objectives. California AB 1771 will charge an additional 25% capital gains tax on almost EVERY RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY sold within 3 years of purchase.
The additional tax would decline in annual increments until the property has been owned for more than seven years.

Douglas G. Duncan is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at Fannie Mae where he is responsible for forecasts and analyses of the economy and the housing and mortgage markets. Duncan also oversees strategic research regarding the potential impact of external factors on the housing industry. He leads the House Price Forecast Working Group reporting to the Finance Committee.

Under his leadership, Fannie Mae’s Economic & Strategic Research Group (ESR) won the NABE Outlook Award, presented annually for the most accurate GDP and Treasury note yield forecasts, in both 2015 and 2016 – the first recipient in the award's history to capture the honor two years in a row. In addition, ESR was awarded by Pulsenomics for best home price forecast.

Named one of Bloomberg/BusinessWeek's 50 Most Powerful People in Real Estate, Duncan is Fannie Mae's source for information and analyses on demographics and the external business and economic environment; the implications of changes in economic activity on the company's strategy and execution; and for forecasting overall housing, economic, and mortgage market activity.

Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Duncan was Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at the Mortgage Bankers Association. His experience also includes work on the Financial Institutions Project at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and service as a LEGIS Fellow and staff member with the Committee on Banking, Finance, and Urban Affairs for Congressman Bill McCollum in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Duncan received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and his B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University.
