Avengers: End Game was not just a film with a great storyline and excellent performances. It was an paralleled, unifying experience that we shared with a room full of fellow fans. We were as ONE for 3 hours and 2 minutes. We cried and cheered together...some of us even hugged it out afterwards. A movie that can move an audience in that manner, is indeed unique.

Avengers: End Game was an "end cap" for twenty-one films that fans invested time and emotion into. And what an ending it was!

In this transmission of Anomaly, we talk about everything from the passing of Peter Mayhew (the actor who played Chewbacca in Star Wars ), how End Game treated Black Widow and Captain Marvel, loving Peter Parker...in a mom way, getting a little verklempt with everyone else in the theater, and much more.

It's taken a while for SciFi to get a foot-hold as a serious genre. Yet even now some cinematic SciFi still gets panned and under appreciated. Angela and Jen want to challenge that idea. So they have each picked an underrated Sci fi movie that got an unfair shake. Check out their second look at Passengers (2016) and Æon Flux (2005). Well it’s kind of crazy how long it’s taken me to record all five seasons of Babylon 5! I was just sitting here thinking about how much in my life has changed since I started actually. It’s been really cool getting to watch through this and getting to see people responding to it. It’s been cool experiencing something new and a sci-fi show I really had no idea about before I started.

I’ll be completely honest this show doesn’t really feel like it’s ‘mine’ in the same way I feel like other shows feel totally ‘me’, but I respect this show a LOT. I respect that the characters seemed like they were always changing and developing, that they wanted to explore interesting stories and situations and that they never seem to stagnate the way some shows really can. I am definitely glad I watched it and even more glad that there were so many of you taking the journey with me.

The Left Hand of Darkness is regularly cited in discussions of gender and sexuality in science-fiction, but also touches on concepts of interpersonal relationship, international politics, patriotism, fear, and more. It is "among the first books published in the feminist science fiction genre and the most famous example of androgyny in science fiction" (Wikipedia). And it is often on lists of the best science fiction books, and almost always on top ten lists of feminist sci-fi and/or books by women sci-fi authors. Get the Show Notes Here ! Angela lost her voice, so I'm flying solo this week. This episode of Anomaly features eight of my favorite Rick Moyer Star Trek parodies. I play them as an opener to a Classic Anomaly episode: Worst of Trek: Sub Rosa. Our Sub Rosa review was recorded and released in 2010 and archived on our site when we had to switch podcast feeds. If you don't remember Sub Rosa, it's the one where Beverley becomes weirdly infatuated with her recently deceased Nana's lover. Eww. Gross. Now the series is complete…sort of. We plan on continuing the Worst of Trek, but we need some Trek episode suggestions from you. They have to be funny and Spock's Brain is an easy target. :) Our next episode (on January 10) is a mail bag episode.

The annual "Truly Outrageous" panel on the American Sci-Fi Classics Track at Dragon Con focuses on the women of classic sci-fi who influenced the panelists as children and young adults.
