CMC was filled with the sound of choral music on 7 December 2006 as the Mornington Singers and conductor conductor Orla Flanagan performed a selection of traditional and popular carols alongside a number of carols written by Irish composers.

The Contemporary Music Centre's final new music Salon of 2006 took place on Thursday 23 November in the Goethe-Institut in Dublin's Merrion Square.

Featuring wind trio Prey, the event included performances and discussion of Peadar Townsend's Wind Trio, Michael McGlynn's Triplets and John Buckley's Five Epigrams. Both Peadar Townsend and Michael McGlynn were present and spoke and answered questions about their pieces.
