Another story from ‘The Twilight Zone Radio Series’. This time I have chosen ‘The Monsters are Due on Maple Street’. The TV version of this one was first broadcast on American TV in March 1960. I won’t tell you what it is about this time except to say that it has a light and a serious side. The serious side is a lesson in what can happen if we blindly follow others without stopping to rationalise things properly for ourselves.As usual with this series, the story is well produced. There is a big difference between some older radio plays and later productions like ‘The Twilight Zone Radio Series’.

This time, an early recording from the 1950 s American Sci-Fi radio series ‘2000 Plus’. The story is ‘The Other Man’.They say there is one other person in the world that looks exactly like you but in the year 2120 there is a device somewhere that makes it possible for you to meet that person. Scott Douglas knows the problems therein.‘2000 Plus’ is one of those 1950s series sometimes ( not always )characterised by the limited production technology and presentation experience of early radio but this can be amusing to.
