This is the first one to set it off from the "VS" series between DJ Armstead and myself. It was done live, as you can hear, at an event for my girl Deanna's birthday (deeeep in Brooklyn!). A lil' old school hip hop throwback and classic reggae, of course! Hosted by my man, Ness Boogie of Dynasty! He did a great job and it was a fun time. I think you can hear that in the Mix!

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! I get so many requests for this mixtape that DJ Armstead and I did a few years ago. It was actually a promo cd giveaway in a gift bag for a NIKE event that Arm and I were also djing. Anyways, it was a big hit but...only a limited edition. I think we made only 100 copies. Fortunately, thanks to (the weather breaking and me finally getting my car detailed), Miquel found the the original copy under the backseat, along with four umbrellas! And now...VOl 3 will live on forever in Cyberspace. Enjoy!

I was in a ZONE last week during the last hour of my set and was channeling these UPenn parties that my girls and I would sneak into back in the day. The name of the spot was The Gold Standard, I think. Hence, the title. Oh, the good ol' days!

This is a mix of some of my fave riddims from the past year. While I was playing I didnt realize my effects button was pressed down and ALL my drops play thru in the beginning!! LOL! It's a little annoying but it soon passes!

This was an old school house & a' lil reggae mix, I did a few years back at the Lush Lounge in Manhattan. I had played some 70's & 80's classics in the beginning of the mix but it's not recorded on this cd for some reason. If I find it, I'll add it later 'cuz I had some dusty classic joints i dug up on there . Anyway, enjoy the mix !
