After more than 30 years as a special projects manager working primarily as a process engineer, data collection and analysis is second nature and is primarily what Bob brings to his role as a paranormal investigator. He also founded and ran a company producing computer animation for TV.

Seth has been a distinguished speaker for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He was also chair of the International Academy of Astronautics’ SETI Permanent Committee for a decade.

Veteran award-winning daily newspaper editor Don Allison used to be a devout skeptic, even going so far as to doubt his own grandmother’s claims of experiences in a haunted house. But after encountering the unexplained many times, he reluctantly concluded he indeed had experienced the paranormal.

Eventually, after what he described as a mind-blowing paranormal encounter at Gettysburg, PA, he could contain his curiosity no longer. He decided to write about his experiences, and to go a step further – to share the science behind what he had encountered.

The result is the latest volume from Faded Banner Publications, I Met a Ghost at Gettysburg: A Journalist’s Journey into the Paranormal.

Allison said fear of people’s reactions to a book on this topic made him think long and hard before tackling this project. “Once I decided to proceed with this book,” he explained, “I realized I could hold nothing back. I am treating the paranormal as I would any other topic. I am sharing my own experiences and what I have learned from research. I am passing on what other people have told me about the subject and in some cases their own perceptions of what I have experienced.”

Throughout his travels, Ross has collected ghost stories, investigated haunted sites, and photographed some of the most beautiful cemeteries. He also enjoys traveling the US to speak with students, fellow ghost hunters, and others who fancy a good ghost story.

In this episode of Paranormal Underground Radio: In The Dark, we talk with Chris Fleming, medium and paranormal investigator. Chris co-hosted the popular TV show Dead Famous for three years. He has also appeared on Psychic Kids​, Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, The Haunted, and Paranormal Challenge.

As early as he can remember, Chris was prone to experiencing extraordinary encounters in the form of ghosts and unexplained phenomena, from dark shadowy forms coming out of closets and dim corners to glowing ghosts manifesting above grade school friends during sleepovers. As these experiences increased, Chris – fearfully at first – began studying the ghosts as they moved around the house and even interacted with him. Soon he grew aware of how they used telepathy to hear his thoughts and even project themselves from one side of the room to another almost instantly. He also learned quickly that his fears were never hidden from them.

After several years of encounters, Chris befriended a spirit who introduced himself as Henry. This spirit would warn Chris about other ghosts and entities, as well as tell him things about the spirit world and universe. Chris conversed with Henry on the Ouija board from 1975-1979 before Henry moved on, but one particular conversation stands out in Chris’s memory to this day: One afternoon Chris, who had recently seen the movie Close Encounters, asked Henry if there is life elsewhere in our solar system.

Henry answered “Europa,” and when Chris asked what type of life is on Europa, the spirit responded, “Plant and bacteria.” Twenty years later, Chris was folding laundry and listening to CNN in the background when he heard something in the broadcast that caught his attention: A reporter was announcing that scientists now believe there may be plant or bacteria life on the sixth moon of Jupiter, a moon called Europa.

Chris saw more than ghosts. Over time, he saw other entities that, to this day, he is still trying to comprehend. In addition to seeing angels and lights, on a few very remarkable and personal occasions he has felt a divine presence. He has also, however, encountered a variety of dark and negative forces. These demons and beings appeared in various forms, shapes, and sizes, leaving Chris convinced at a young age that what we think we scientifically know and understand about our world is eclipsed by all that we don’t know or understand, but occasionally experience nonetheless.

Nuzo has spear-headed this new andunexplored horror subgenre. She states that her goal is to establish AfricanHorror as bona-fide horror subgenre, rather than the general perception of theterm as a negative condition of the continent as portrayed by the popularmedia. It is Nuzo’s hope that, soon, African Horror will be recognized andenjoyed as other regional horror subgenres, such as Japanese, Korean andScandinavian horror.

A British writer of Africandescent, Nuzo was born in Enugu, the Eastern part of Nigeria, formerly known asThe Republic of Biafra. She lived through the civil war between Nigeria andBiafra as a child refugee, an experience that left a strong impact on her andhas influenced some of her writing. Nuzo attended Queen’s School Enugu beforeproceeding to the Quaker boarding school; The Mount School, York, England; andSt. Andrew’s Tutorial College, Cambridge, from where she obtained her A’levels. She holds both a law degree and a master's degree in writing from TheUniversity of Warwick, England.

This new book focuses on one of the patients at Peoria State Hospital in Bartonville, Illinois -- a woman whose spirit still roams the rounds of the abandoned asylum.

Sylvia has been a paranormal investigator for several years. She began her career as a ghost hunter as a result of doing the research for her nonfiction book Ghosts of the Illinois River (Quixote Press, 2010). Her fascination with ghosts dates back to her childhood, as she is an avid reader who was raised on Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

A few years ago, Sylvia was inspired to write a collection of people’s supernatural experiences at the Peoria State Hospital in Bartonville, Illinois. This project quickly swelled into Fractured Spirits: Hauntings at the Peoria State Hospital. The book incorporates the history of the asylum, as well as the many ghost stories that have arisen out of the asylum’s abandonment. In an effort to separate fact from fiction, Sylvia thoroughly explores the true history of the hospital.

Stephen had his first paranormal experience as a child. Since then he has become a strong advocate for paranormal study, research, and investigation work. He started investigating the paranormal in 1997, conducting investigative work for politicians, military facilities, the board of education, museums, commercial locations, businesses, television, and civilians. In 2007, he formed P.I.T. Paranormal Investigation Team, which was later dubbed The PIT Crew. During its peak, P.I.T. had members and divisions in North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Kentucky, Connecticut, New York, West Virginia, California, and more.

Stephen appeared on A&E Biography's My Ghost Story in 2011 and again in 2012. He has been interviewed on hundreds of radio shows and on various news broadcasts revolving around paranormal phenomena. He also often gives public lectures on the subject.

In 2009, he self-published Paranormal Investigator: True Accounts of the Paranormal, which was later discovered by Llewellyn Worldwide and re-released as True Casefiles of a Paranormal Investigator in 2012. The book contains personal case files, and it welcomed stellar reviews from the general public and was added to the Library of Congress.

Lancaster retired in 2014 following a near-fatal car accident. Two years later he began work again in the field.

In the late 1990s, he decided it was time to change tack and eventually earned his master’s of education degree from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, where he has held a teaching position in the department of secondary education since 2001.

He has also been a student of the Ageless Wisdom teaching for over 35 years, and his many years of study and research into the Wisdom teachings resulted in the online reference Our Elder Brothers Return – A History in Books (2008).

Having acquired and studied some of the more obscure writings by contactee George Adamski, Gerard wrote George Adamski – A Herald for the Space Brothers (2010), which critics acclaimed as a refreshing, scholarly treatment of his subject. Dick Larson is a counselor with a background in education, business, and communication. In addition to being a guest on radio talk shows nationwide, he has co-hosted a radio program and produced and hosted a series of public access television shows that air around the nation.

Dick served in the US Air Force, was a special education teacher with the Los Angeles School District, and worked as an international corporate business executive for over 20 years. He then became a chemical dependency therapist and is now at a university in southern California teaching other adults how to do therapy.

Creator of the audiotape series Points to Ponder, Larson is a native of Minnesota, where he obtained a degree in sociology and psychology before duty in the Air Force ultimately brought him to the Los Angeles area in 1971. Larson’s familiarity with the spiritual side of life comes from facilitating adult Christian Bible studies, from his study of the world’s major religions, and from the Ageless Wisdom Teachings and participating in meditation groups and teaching meditation for many years.

Flash forward 12 years and through a better understanding inthe world of the paranormal, with the many paranormal shows and books,discussing the paranormal became more accepted and not looked down upon. Whenshe had the opportunity to join a paranormal investigative team, she felt she had a mission to help others understandwhat they are living with, to listen with an open mind, not to be judgmentalbut compassionate with what they are going through, and to help the spiritswith whatever they may need, if anything. She now has a better understanding ofthe spirit world, has no fear of it, and she hopes to help empower others withthat as well.

In this episode of Paranormal Underground Radio: In The Dark, we talk with Hiram Henderson, director of operations for Maryland Paranormal Research, which was founded in 2011 with a mission to conduct investigations of paranormal phenomena using technical means to examine haunting claims.

Hiram Henderson is a decorated/retired Navy officer who has worked in planning and analytic capacities across several staffs at the operational and tactical levels. Prior to service, he was a university lecturer in statistics and finite mathematics. Due to personal experiences, interest in the paranormal came late in life.

He has focused the work of Maryland Paranormal Research on documenting paranormal event horizons through video, audio and data acquisition. His technical work emphasizes use of machine-synchronized sensors to continuously monitor environmental conditions, professional audio sound stages, and imaging in invisible spectra of light. The group's research involves a blend of the physical sciences and parapsychology with emphasis on transcommunication events.

He is joined by an electrical engineer, a former flight nurse, a writer, and former members of the Coast Guard and other uniformed services. His group has conducted several expeditions at historic locations in the greater Maryland region, including Historic Savage Mill, Cockey's Tavern in Westminster, and Nemacolin-Bowman's Castle in Brownsville, PA.

Davies, author of A Most Haunted House and Ghost Sex: The Violation. G L
created theparanormalchronicles.com in October 2013 and became sole owner of
Pembrokeshire Beyond in January 2015.

G L
studied hauntings in 19th Century literature and has spent most of his career
in advertising. He has also studied cobbling, watch repairing, and
hairdressing.

His
passion has always been for the paranormal, and he has spent years listening to
and collating local ghost stories and myths. He says he is still on the fence
in terms of his beliefs. And even though he has witnessed many strange
occurrences in his life, he prefers to travel the psychological and rational
route before making any assumptions. He respects the views of all on the
subject, saying, "No person alive has the knowledge and understanding of
time, space, and the intricacies of the human mind to be so sure on anything to
do with the paranormal."

His
first book, A Most Haunted House was published in October 2013. The book
focuses on a true haunting in his home town of Haverfordwest. It was read and
reviewed by world renowned Uri Gellar who said: "G L Davies has written an
amazing account of what seems to be a real haunted house! I was riveted to
every page, I hope the book will be made into a movie some day."

G L
followed his debut novel with the controversial and polarizing novel called
Ghost Sex: The Violation. The novel was a raw and gritty true account of a
family’s assault by a vicious and brutal paranormal entity. The descriptions of
paranormal sexual assault and abuse were not to everyone’s liking. G L
responded to the backlash as, "This is not 50 shades of ghost but a brutal
and traumatic haunting. This is for the hardcore paranormal faithful out there,
not your Mills and Boon crowd."

His

Beyond have made national and international news, and his roadside haunting
report was covered in the Fortean Times (June 2015). He is also the originator
of the Pembrokeshire Haunted Road Trips, and he has also conducted a live
investigation for 102.5 Radio Pembrokeshire.

G L
describes himself as down to earth and passionate about the paranormal. He has
been quoted as saying, "There will be a day where the paranormal will
simply be known as normal. I long for that day." His third book will be released in summer 2016..

cofounder of The Foundation for Research into Extraterrestrial Encounters
(FREE). Rey
and his entire family are “experiencers.”

Rey is currently employed as an estate
tax attorney with the IRS, US Dept of Treasury. He was previously an Adjunct
Professor for six years at the New School for Social Research and the City
University of New York, as well as the director of the Center for a Sustainable Urban Environment at the City
University of New York and the director of the Office of Community
Environmental Planning for the City of New York.

He has
attended Rutgers College and Cornell University and was a Ph.D. Candidate at
U.C. Berkeley in City and Regional Planning. He was also the recipient of a
National Science Foundation Ph.D. Fellowship at U.C. Berkeley. Rey resides with
his family in Miami, Florida.
